Amazon has officially launched a new feature for its shopping app and website, allowing Prime members to append items to upcoming deliveries with a single tap. This update eliminates the need to initiate separate checkout processes for individual products, streamlining the shopping experience for frequent users.
Improving the Shopping Workflow
The update directly addresses how consumers interact with the platform. Rather than building a single, comprehensive order, many users identify needs throughout the week and place multiple, fragmented orders. This behavior often creates logistical challenges, which Amazon has previously attempted to mitigate through initiatives like digital rewards for choosing slower, consolidated shipping methods like “Amazon Day.”

How the “Add to Delivery” Feature Works
When browsing eligible products, Prime members will now see a distinct blue button labeled “Add to today’s delivery.” This button is positioned directly below the standard “Add to cart” option and effectively replaces the “Buy Now” one-click checkout button for these specific items.
To prevent accidental purchases, Amazon has included an immediate “Undo” function. If a user clicks the button by mistake, they can instantly remove the item from the pending delivery before it is processed.
Availability and Scope
The feature is currently rolling out to Prime members in the United States for eligible items. As of now, an Amazon Prime membership is priced at $14.99 per month or $139 annually in the U.S. market.
