Google Pixel November Update: New AI Tools and Smart Alerts – Ankor Tech

Google has launched its November Pixel Drop, introducing a suite of performance upgrades, including AI-driven photo editing, enhanced contact prioritization, and expanded call transcription tools for users globally.

Smarter Notifications and Crisis Alerts

The update refines the “Pixel VIPs” feature introduced in June. Users who have designated up to eight priority contacts will now see their notifications moved to the top of the queue. Furthermore, the home screen widget now integrates real-time safety data: if a crisis, such as severe flooding, is detected in a VIP contact’s vicinity, a dedicated crisis badge will appear directly within the widget.

AI-Powered Photo Editing

Google Photos is gaining significant intelligence through a new “Help me edit” function. By selecting this option, users can input specific natural language commands—such as “Remove sunglasses,” “Open eyes,” or “Make them smile”—to modify images. The system leverages Google’s established face groups technology to identify individuals in the frame and apply these edits with high precision.

Global Call Notes and Thematic Customization

The November rollout also scales the “Call Notes” feature, which provides automated transcriptions for phone calls. This capability is now available to users in Australia, Canada, the U.K., Ireland, and Japan.

Personalization for Pixel 6 and Newer

In a nod to pop culture, the update includes a “Wicked: For Good” theme pack. Owners of Pixel 6 devices and newer can now access exclusive wallpapers, custom system icons, thematic system sounds, and curated GIFs inspired by the film.
