Oura announced this Wednesday the launch of the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic collection, marking the company’s first venture into non-metallic smart rings. Alongside the hardware debut, the wearable tech giant introduced a dedicated portable charging case, a new “Health Panels” diagnostic feature, and expanded support for multi-ring accounts.
Design Meets Durability: The Ceramic Collection
The new Oura Ring 4 Ceramic is crafted from zirconia ceramic, a material selected for its lightweight profile and high resistance to daily wear. Unlike traditional metallic rings that rely on paints or coatings, the color in this collection is derived from natural minerals embedded within the ceramic itself, ensuring the finish remains vibrant and scratch-resistant over time.

To maintain the aesthetic, each ring includes a Polishing Pad for buffing out minor scuffs. The collection launches in four distinct colorways—Tide, Cloud, Petal, and Midnight—with sizes ranging from 4 to 15. The retail price is set at $499, with the standard membership subscription costing $5.99 per month or $69.99 annually.
On-the-Go Charging and Multi-Ring Flexibility
Addressing a primary user request, Oura has debuted its first-ever portable charging case. Designed for travel, the case holds up to five full charges and utilizes a USB-C connection. Both the ring and the case reach a full charge in approximately 90 minutes.

Additionally, users can now pair multiple Oura Ring 4 units to a single account. This allows for seamless switching between colors or styles to suit different occasions, such as swapping a ring specifically for gym use or formal wear.
Health Panels: Bridging Wearables and Blood Work
Perhaps the most significant software update is the introduction of Health Panels. This feature allows members to book professional blood tests at over 2,000 Quest Diagnostics locations in the U.S. for $99. Once the lab work is completed, the comprehensive results are synced directly into the Oura app.

The system tracks 50 biomarkers, providing users with a clear overview of what is within or outside of standard ranges. The Oura Advisor AI tool interprets these results, helping users understand the connections between their daily activity, sleep data, and blood chemistry. Users can interact with the app to ask specific questions, such as how to improve cholesterol profiles or interpret A1C levels.
By integrating clinical blood data with Oura’s continuous tracking, the company aims to offer a holistic health perspective that often goes overlooked during standard, issue-focused doctor visits, providing actionable lifestyle insights at a more accessible price point than private, out-of-pocket laboratory testing.
