Oura officially launched its first proprietary AI model on Tuesday, specifically engineered to provide personalized, clinically grounded guidance on women’s health. Integrated into the “Oura Advisor” chatbot, the technology addresses the full reproductive spectrum, ranging from early menstrual cycles to menopause.
Experimental Rollout via Oura Labs
The new model is currently available through Oura Labs, the company’s dedicated hub for experimental features within the Oura mobile application. By opting into this program, users can access AI-driven insights that synthesize established medical standards with individual biometric data.

Bridging Science and Biometrics
Unlike generic AI tools, Oura’s model is built upon research and knowledge sources vetted by an in-house team of board-certified clinicians and specialists. When a user queries the chatbot, the system cross-references this medical foundation with the user’s longitudinal biometric signals, including sleep patterns, activity levels, cycle tracking, pregnancy data, and stress metrics.
“Women’s health is too complex—and too often overlooked—to rely on one-size-fits-all systems,” said Dr. Ricky Bloomfield, Oura’s chief medical officer. “By designing a model specifically for women and grounding it in trusted clinical science, we’re setting the standard for how responsible intelligence should be built.”
A Strategic Shift Toward Women’s Wellness
This development aligns with Oura’s shifting demographic landscape. As previously noted by Chief Commercial Officer Dorothy Kilroy, women in their early twenties currently represent the company’s fastest-growing user segment, surpassing traditional fitness-focused demographics.
As consumers increasingly turn to AI chatbots for health-related queries, Oura aims to provide a reliable, non-dismissive, and emotionally supportive interface. Despite its sophisticated design, the company emphasizes that the tool is not a medical professional; it is not intended for clinical diagnosis or the creation of treatment plans.
Privacy and Infrastructure
Addressing common concerns regarding data security, Oura confirmed that the new model is hosted entirely on company-controlled infrastructure. The firm maintains a strict policy stating that user conversations are never sold or shared with third parties.
Users interested in testing the feature can activate it by navigating to the Oura Labs section located in the drop-down menu in the upper-left corner of the Oura app.
