Google officially launched a series of major upgrades to the Android ecosystem this Tuesday, headlined by a critical feature for travelers: the ability to share Find Hub-compatible tracker tag data directly with airlines to expedite the recovery of lost luggage.

How to Track Your Luggage With Airlines
Within the Find Hub app, users can select a misplaced item and tap the “share item location” option. This action generates a unique, secure URL that can be copied and pasted into a participating airline’s website or mobile app. This provides ground crews with precise, real-time data on the bag’s last known location.
To ensure security and privacy, Google confirmed that these links automatically expire after seven days. Furthermore, the sharing function is immediately disabled the moment the user’s device detects that the luggage has been reunited with its owner.
Supported Airlines and Expanding Partnerships
Currently, over 10 global carriers have integrated Find Hub location data into their baggage recovery workflows. The initial list includes:
- Ajet
- Air India
- China Airlines
- Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Austrian, Brussels, and Swiss International Airlines)
- Saudia Airlines
- Scandinavian Airlines (SAS)
- Turkish Airlines
Google has signaled its intent to aggressively expand this list of partners in the coming months.

Broader Android and Pixel Ecosystem Updates
Beyond baggage tracking, the March update brings several quality-of-life enhancements to the Android platform:
Communication and Discovery
- Live Location Sharing: Users can now share their real-time location directly within Google Messages, allowing contacts to track movement on an integrated map.
- Google Play Video Feed: A new short-form video feed allows users to preview app functionality and discover new software without exiting the Play Store.
- Calling Cards: The Phone app now supports customizable contact screens for incoming calls, mirroring the aesthetic flexibility of iOS Contact Posters.
Pixel-Specific Enhancements
Pixel devices receive exclusive perks via the latest Pixel Drop, including significant upgrades to Circle to Search. The new “Find the Look” tool analyzes individual clothing items, while the “Try It On” feature allows users to visualize how outfits seen in videos or social media content would appear on them.

Productivity and Watch Integration
The “At a Glance” widget is now more proactive, delivering live transit updates, real-time sports scores for followed teams, and financial watchlist shifts directly to the lock screen.
For Pixel Watch users, the update introduces a security feature that alerts the user if they have left their phone behind and automatically locks the device when out of range. Additionally, Pixel Watch 3 owners gain gesture controls, such as double-pinching or wrist turns, to manage calls, photography, and workout tracking hands-free.
