What Pixel Care+ Offers Hardware Owners

According to the official announcement, the program is engineered to offer a higher tier of service and peace of mind. Key benefits of the subscription include:

  • Unlimited claims for accidental and mechanical damage.
  • Extended warranty coverage.
  • $0 screen and battery repairs.
  • $0 post-warranty malfunction claims.
  • Use of genuine Google parts and replacements.
  • Priority access to Pixel experts.
  • Optional loss and theft coverage.
  • Upgraded shipping, including next-day delivery on replacements.

Pricing and Device Eligibility

The program is currently available in the U.S. for a range of eligible devices. This includes the Pixel 8 series and newer, Pixel Watch 2 and newer, Pixel Tablet, and various Fitbit models like the Ace LTE, Versa 4, Sense 2, Charge 6, and Inspire 3.

Pricing varies by hardware model. For instance, Google’s website lists the Pixel 10 protection at $10 per month or a one-time fee of $199 for two years of coverage.

How to Manage Claims

Customers can enroll in Pixel Care+ within 60 days of their device purchase. The management process has been simplified for the user: claims can be initiated directly through the Google Store website—where users can schedule specific repair locations and times—or via the My Pixel App.

For existing subscribers of Google Preferred Care or Fi Device Protection, the transition to the new Pixel Care+ program will occur automatically over the coming months.
