Manus, the prominent AI agent platform, officially launched its “Manus Team” subscription plan on Tuesday, targeting small businesses and organizations seeking to integrate advanced automation into their workflows. This move marks a strategic shift for the startup as it transitions from viral sensation to a provider of sustainable enterprise solutions.

Pricing and Shared Resource Structure

The Manus Team plan is priced at $39 per seat per month, requiring a minimum of five seats, which brings the total entry cost to $195 monthly. This subscription model introduces a centralized resource system where each team receives 19,500 credits in a shared pool. This structure eliminates individual usage caps, allowing teams to allocate resources dynamically based on project requirements.

Subscribers gain access to dedicated infrastructure and priority processing during peak demand, alongside exclusive beta features. Users are permitted to run up to two concurrent tasks per member and can toggle a “high-effort mode” to increase reliability for complex operations.

Operational Costs and Task Complexity

Credits are consumed based on the computational intensity of tasks, such as automated data extraction from websites into spreadsheets. While simple requests are inexpensive, more complex or lengthier workflows can consume hundreds or even thousands of credits, necessitating careful resource management by team leads.

Market Expansion and Financial Growth

The launch of the team tier follows a period of rapid development for the platform, which gained significant traction during a viral social media campaign in March. The startup behind Manus, Butterfly Effect, recently secured $75 million in a funding round led by Benchmark, pushing the company’s valuation to $500 million.

According to Bloomberg reports, the company is leveraging this capital to fuel expansion into international markets, specifically Japan and the Middle East. Furthermore, Manus continues to refine its underlying technology, currently utilizing Anthropic’s Claude 3.7 Sonnet alongside customized versions of Alibaba’s Qwen models to power its agentic capabilities.
