Spotify Launches Audiobook Charts to Boost Discovery – Ankor Tech

Spotify officially introduced dedicated Audiobook Charts for users in the U.S. and U.K. this Friday. These rankings, which mirror the platform’s existing Music and Podcast Charts, provide a weekly breakdown of the most popular titles overall and across specific genres based on real-time listener engagement.

How to Access the New Audiobook Charts

The charts are available to both free and premium subscribers within the dedicated audiobooks hub. To view the rankings, users can tap the search button in the Spotify app, select the “Audiobooks” tile, and navigate to the “Dive deeper” section at the bottom of the page.

Expanding the Audiobook Ecosystem

This launch represents a significant milestone in Spotify’s ongoing commitment to the audiobook market, a sector the company formally entered in 2022. The platform has consistently rolled out innovative features to enhance the listener experience, including the “Page Match” tool—which allows users to scan physical book pages to jump to the corresponding audio timestamp—and “Audiobook Recaps” for quick story summaries.

According to official company statements, these charts aim to bridge the gap between publishers, authors, and readers. By increasing the visibility of trending titles, Spotify intends to foster a more connected literary culture where demand grows alongside ease of access.

Beyond Digital Streaming

Spotify’s ambitions extend beyond audio files. Earlier this month, the streaming giant announced a strategic partnership with Bookshop.org. This integration will soon allow listeners in the U.S. and U.K. to purchase physical copies of books directly through the Spotify interface, further cementing the platform’s role as a comprehensive destination for book enthusiasts.
