Tubi has officially become the first streaming service to launch a native application directly within ChatGPT. This strategic integration, rolled out this week, allows users to access Tubi’s vast library of content without leaving the AI interface, marking a significant shift in how audiences discover and interact with streaming media.
Meeting Users Where They Are
Rather than attempting to build proprietary AI tools, Tubi is prioritizing accessibility by embedding its service into the platforms where users already congregate for information. The move is backed by scale: ChatGPT currently boasts 900 million weekly active users, while Tubi maintains a robust base of over 100 million monthly active users.
This integration follows OpenAI’s October update, which opened the ecosystem for developers to build native apps inside ChatGPT. Tubi now joins a growing list of industry giants—including Spotify, Canva, Expedia, and Zillow—that have leveraged the platform to streamline user experiences.
Expanding the Creatorverse
Beyond its technological expansion, Tubi is doubling down on its content strategy through the newly announced “Creatorverse Incubator.” This initiative is designed to nurture emerging talent by providing promotional support and direct funding opportunities for original series.

Shows developed under this program are slated to debut exclusively on the Tubi platform, signaling a broader effort to differentiate its catalog. By combining AI-driven discoverability with a dedicated pipeline for original content, the streamer is positioning itself to compete more aggressively in an increasingly crowded digital entertainment market.
